Rev.Dr.Samuel Nang Khan Do's Parents Monumental Book
Introduction
When I, though I had never published any book before, tried to produce the autobiography of my own, I dare not to expect others to read it importantly but the sole purpose of writing this book is that any of my grand children and off-springs, who would become modern educated person may want to read the book and say, “Oh! Our father, though he was just an orphan, was well nurtured by the Lord and was blessed in accordance with what he ought to obtain.” so that they will praise the name of the Lord.
Writing In Teizang Apparently
Using Teizang dialect in writing this book is not because I am Teizang man but because my parents were born and died in Teizang. I wrote this book in Teizang, aiming at rememberance of the language my parents’ speak.
Even in the family, where Teizang dialect has been using utilizes Tedim dialect when writing letters, so I, for a test, tried to spell ABC writing in Teizang if it’s possible to do so.
My aim of writing this book in Teizang is to let others know that Teizang dialect is not a language which has been seized from somewhere on the street but it’s been used by our ancestors since long long ago.
I also make a notice that people who say that they cannot write in Teizang still do not know how to write the Zo language writing very well, especially Tedim. I strongly believe that even Dr.Cope, who invented the language we speak now would definitely say, “You’re still fools for you do not know how to spell your own language yet.”
Teizang language, except the accent and one or two words differences from Tedim, is not a completely different language so I, on behalf of some people who speak the language without following the correct accent, always felt very much embarrassed. It’s exactly the same as naming chicken with bigger species English chicken, smaller species Zo chicken and at the same time pigs with bigger species used to be called English pig and smaller ones Zo pigs etc. in Zo language.
