3. Time Management

While wearing a watch is important for keeping the time and knowing how much to allot for activities, time management techniques and strategies have implications for running a classroom. Time management should be an integral part of those classroom procedures which you yourself value, and help keep your classroom running like clockwork so that students know in advance what to expect. Time management refers to a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage  time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals. This set encompass a wide scope of activities, and these include planning , allocating , setting goals , delegation, analysis of time spent, monitoring , organizing, scheduling , and prioritizing .

But what we are going to deal with here is how to manage the time in a classroom of teaching English to primary level children.  Regardless of how the approaches of teaching English to children maybe, every class hour should be divided into different sessions.

Normally, a period of teaching English to primary level children is 45 minutes because children at this age cannot cope with a period of teaching English longer than 45 minutes.  Circle time for smaller class, warming up class, vocabulary reading time for pronunciation practice, and follow up activities, such as painting, water paint, words coloring, coloring pictures, watching video clip, etc. should be scheduled differently in 45 minutes.  Sharing time according to the lesson plan that suits the English text book should also be considered important. Lesson plans which a teacher can finish teaching in a period is the best and suitable syllabus. If possible, syllabus design using bottom- up approach is the best deal if the English teacher has enough time to prepare for all the lessons in advance.  But using this approach can sometimes make student lose interest in the lesson because all they have to learn for the whole year has been exposed and made known to students in advance which makes them feel the lessons are common.  If possible, teacher should be able to separate each lesson for every class from the whole syllabus without showing the next lesson to study in the class to students.  By this way, student’s interest to the lesson will make the English teaching class more invigorating as it ought to be.

3.1. Should The Teacher Concentrate on One Student In The Class?

This is a crucial issue in teaching children English class. Almost every time, the more physically stronger kids who aren't as smart in school, are just "stronger and have much more street sense, and are just more naturally dominating against the smart honour roll kids who couldn't last one day without his/her mommy or daddy or outside on the streets, and these ones tend to always be weaker and more innocent.
