of Teizang language, my native language. At this point, we can see clearly that it’s nothing more than cheating when a person recommends that a native English speaker should be a teacher of English. Some Asian businessmen or women including government higher ranking officers want to have sex with westerners. For that purpose, they recruit just native speakers for a teaching position at a school or university so that their purpose of having sex with them might be possible in a discreet way. But those teachers are not professional and they are not reliable English teachers because they are given placement only for the purpose of having sexual relation. I am sure a non-native English teacher whose research concentration is teaching English can be many times a better English teacher than a native English teacher just with a bachelor degree. Many non-native teachers have a better skill in teaching and creativity than some native English teachers.
Thomas Leverett and Halliday’s philosophy is unworthy to take into consideration for professional English teachers whether native or non native speakers, otherwise English would never be worthy to be called international language and if the same philosophy impacts the English teaching world, fewer and lesser people will make teaching English their profession and English language will be inherently owned by a single culture in a single place in the future. Their ideology might help getting native speakers a teaching English job but only for a short time and will not keep them at the same position for a life time. It’s a kind of degrading and narrowing the world of the English language. Therefore, teaching English to primary level children should have no discrimination and no partiality in choosing English teachers in the first place so that the real knowledge of English can be passed successfully to the targetted children without any reservation.
In section one and two of this thesis, it is explained that approaches in teaching English to primary level children is a research thesis which concentrates on the development of teachers’ primary level teaching skill, methods and teaching techniques applicable to both native and non-native English teachers all over the world. Though it is a TESOL thesis, general English teacher in English speaking countries can also study and use this research thesis for practical purpose. For teachers of children, the knowledge of child development is a must to learn without which teaching English to kids can be a tedious job. It’s important that the teacher knows how children can learn English fast and what techniques and methods are best to use. It also discusses how effective it can be using multisensory teaching and learning approach.
Time management has been the knowledge requires to acquire making a person become a good English teacher to children. Section 3’s main point bases on using egalitarianism in the classroom, eliminating the use of favoritism, and the ideology against concentration on one student in the classroom. Section 3 clarifies that balancing social classes, rich and poor, background of student’s parents should be a ready made knowledge of the teacher to be made use of in English teaching classroom.
