might be one of the problems a primary English teacher might face in his or her classroom.
Teacher who doesn’t use egalitarianism in the classroom might give favour a lot to particular kid in the class and ignore other children in practicing their English. A good English teacher should not show partiality to any student in the classroom in general. Whether the student is poor or rich, the same rules and time limit to do things with the teacher individually in the classroom should be applicable to and shared with every student in the classroom.
Concentration only on one child who is from high class in the society, whose parents are able to stabilize their financial standing in the community or whose parents hold higher position than any one else in the city can give English class less important for other children in English class. So the right answer is to give every child in the class equal time usage in practicing their English and interacting with the teacher and the classroom rules should be applicable to all except for emergency cases. In many Asian public schools, class size which means the number of students in a classroom is a big issue because any class that has more than 15 students will make the teacher difficult sharing the time for every student equally. Practically speaking, some primary English classes have more than 50 children. In this case, the teacher may be able to finish one lesson with equal time sharing for all students in 2 to 3 periods. Giving more teaching English schedules for this type of class sizes is advisable otherwise however good the English teacher maybe, his teaching will never be as effective as teaching 15 students class. This kind of small class is supposed to be the best choice for schools that want to promote quality education.
3.2. Egalitarianism In The Classroom
Practicing equality in the classroom is essential part of teaching children. For many primary level teachers, treating children who are innocent and unrevengful in a way that is partisan based on student’s social status, ability to learn, parent income, political ideology of the parents, ruling class, and meritocracy is overwhelming in teaching English classrooms of various public schools in different parts of the world. When we talk about social inequality, it is also linked directly to racial inequality and wealth inequality . The way people behave socially, whether it's discrimination, racism, etc., it tends to trick down on the opportunities and wealth individuals can generate for themselves.
Common forms of egalitarianism include economic egalitarianism, legal egalitarianism, luck egalitarianism, political egalitarianism, gender egalitarianism, racial equality, asset-based egalitarianism, and Christian egalitarianism. We are not going to deal with those common forms of egalitarianism in the society but what we want now is egalitarianism in teaching English classroom of primary level children to promote equal time usage for every student particularly in pragmatic approach to teaching English. Not only time usage, children in teaching English classroom should be given equal opportunity to speak out what they feel, to utilize the same rules and
