Objectives                    :(a)  -To learn how to write a CV and a Letter of Application.
                                      (b) -Reported verbs pattern.
                                      (c) -The pop music business    (if time permits)                      
                                      (d) -Listen to the song and complete the gap.(if time permits)

Warm Up                      : Look at the strategies for interacting in discussion. Use the phrases given.    
                                        Work in pairs. Present your conclusion to the class. Choose 2 which you think
                                        should be the best paid and another 2 that you think should be the lowest paid.
                                        Give reasons for your decisions.                                                 ( 20 minutes)























Writing CV          : Look at a job advertisement in page 100.
                               Match the parts of the letter (1-5) with the topics (A-E).                  (15 minutes)

                               A. Formal editing          B. Personal qualities     C. Why good for the job
                               D. Reasons for interest  E. Reason for writing

In-Class Activity : Write a CV for work application to a volunteer programme.             (20 minutes)


Application Letter: Get help from page 143. Write an application letter for the volunteer work above.
                                                                                                                                       (15 minutes)


A Radio Program : Listen to a radio program and check your guesses for Ex.1. Try to guess the
                                answers to the questions in page 101 about the EU countries.           (10 minutes)


                                Listen again and complete the information in exercise 3.                    (10 minutes)


Homework            : Do exercises in page 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83 & 84 of Language Power Book. Hand
                                in your home next Monday.

Strategies for Interacting in Discusissions

1. Don't dominate the discussion.
2. When you want to say something, 
    wait for your partner to pause.
3. If you have to interrupt, use polite
    expressions.
4. Involve the other person by asking
    his/her opinions (e.g. What do you
    think about ...........?		 Expressions for Interactiing

    politely.
4. Interrupting politely.
