How Do I Know My Lesson Was Successful?
There are many different ways of checking whether your lesson was successful. Some of them are based on testing, others are based on question and answer in class. After sometimes, as a teacher you will be able to tell from experience whether your lesson was successful or not.
Your lesson is successful if the members of the class:
·Know more English at the end of the lesson than they knew at the beginning of the lesson.
·Can use more English at the end of the lesson than they could at the beginning of the lesson.
·If the lesson was not successful for a large number of pupils, you may have to go over it again.
Group Work:
Divide the class into 4 groups. Every group should make a lesson plan in 10 to 15 minutes.
After that every group should present how they are going teach the lesson.
Grammar Based Teaching Method
· Draw up a lesson plan for an 80 minute lesson with a Primary 4 class.
· The topic should be “The use of “some” and “any”.
· You are teaching the lesson because you discovered that many of the class are wrongly using “no
any” , as in “I have no any books.”
